BEATRICE - The Village of Johnson has declared a snow emergency ahead of an arriving winter storm that could drop nearly a foot of snow on some areas of the Midwest.

Village Clerk Rachael Brook says the town midway between Tecumseh and Auburn has declared a snow emergency until Tuesday at noon.

Residents should use off street parking and avoid parking on Johnson’s Main Street to allow for snow removal crews to complete their work.
