Man allegedly discharges weapon in Fairbury Monday
The Jefferson County Dispatch received a 911 call in reference to a male who allegedly discharged a firearm in Fairbury on Monday, according to Sheriff Nicholas Georgi.

FAIRBURY, Neb. -- The Jefferson County Dispatch received a 911 call in reference to a male who allegedly discharged a firearm in Fairbury on Monday, according to Sheriff Nicholas Georgi.
Deputies responded to the scene and found that the male had already left the scene after discharging a firearm into the ground.
The male was located and taken into custody a short time later, at another location in Fairbury, after it was found that the male was suffering from a mental health crisis.
There were no injuries or property damage that came from the incident.
