BEATRICE – Persons wanting to operate utility terrain vehicles on Beatrice city streets under a new ordinance should keep in mind that a registration requirement will kick in, on January 1st.

The city council previously passed an ordinance that requires operators to register their UTV with the city.

You’ll need to provide your name, address, phone number and e-mail address…your UTV vehicle identification number…..the description, make, model and color of the machine…and pay an application fee, which is $25.

Dealer registration is $50….and a replacement registration is $10.

Registration applications and the fee must be submitted to the city clerk’s office.  Registration stickers or plates must be fixed to the UTV in an easily visible space. The registration is an annual requirement.

Registration information is available on the city’s website….and Facebook page.
