Norma Katherine Roelfs, was born March 30, 1932 at Wilber Nebraska. She was the Daughter of Edward and Ludmila (Vozenilek) Kasparek.
She lived in the Wilber and Dorchester area and attended elementary school K-8th at District 72 and 55. She graduated from Wilber High School in 1951 and attended Doane and Fairbury Jr. College. She taught country school District 94 and District 32 in Saline County. In Jefferson County she taught at Jansen Elementary School.
Norma was confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Diller Nebraska on August 25, 1957. She married Harold Roelfs at Diller St. Paul Lutheran Church, Diller Nebraska August 25, 1957. She lived on a farm west of Diller. Norma was a teacher, home-maker, and taught Sunday School and Bible School for 12 years.
Her hobbies were sewing, gardening and canning. Two children were born to this union, Lori and Harold Lee Jr.
Survivors are daughter Lori Knippelmeyer, grandchildren Brian, Dustin, Tiffany and Jessica. Great-Grandchildren Kaitlyn, Brittany and Alayna. Many nieces and nephews, Sister-in-law Frieda Roelfs, Brother-in-law Kanchan
Lodhia.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and infant son, sister Arlene Zajic, brothers-in-law Melvin Zajic, Warren Roelfs, Henry Heckman and Dr. Richard Roelfs.
Norma enjoyed being a teacher, housewife, mother and grandmother. Family was important to her.

Services will be Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairbury. Memorials will go to the Family's Choice.  Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
