Huskers ready to hit road for first time in Big Ten play with Larson on sideline

LINCOLN, Neb - Nebraska is readying for their fifth straight match with a Top 25 opponent as they head to West Lafayette to battle #19 Purdue.
As Cook and the Huskers hit the road for the first time in Big Ten play, he says the team has some added confidence with Nebraska Volleyball legend Jordan Larson back on the sideline.
"She was a great player, she wants to be a coach, she's very passionate about coaching," Cook said. "That energy and fire, whatever you want to call it, that can be contagious. I'm very excited to be around someone who's that passionate about Nebraska volleyball. She's got a lot of wisdom to tap into."
The Huskers enter second in the AVCA poll, looking to make it 12-0 on the year, hitting the road for the first time in Big Ten play. The Boilermakers enter at 8-3, their only losses to Creighton, USC, and Loyola Chicago.
The Huskers swept Purdue in each of the matches last year, but John Cook believes they have a challenge ahead.
"Just like all the Big Ten teams, they're well coached, they've got great players, a great enviornment to play in," Cook said. "Indiana's the same way. All these teams, they've got talent and they're well coached. We've got to bring out A game."
Nebraska and Purdue get underway at 6:00 p.m. central time, 5:00 p.m. mountain.
