Turning car collides with SUV, at junction of two state highways

Collision at highway junction causes minor injuries
BEATRICE – Gage County Sheriff’s officers and Adams Fire and Rescue were sent to a collision that caused minor injuries, Saturday. The accident happened at the junction of Nebraska Highways 41 and 43.
Authorities say a Chevrolet Captiva driven by 87-year-old Alice Schoneweis-Adams…..who resides in Adams…was attempting to turn west onto Highway 41, when she turned into the oncoming lane. Her car struck a GMC Terrain driven by 76-year-old Edwin Heiden, of Sterling….which was eastbound on Highway 41.
Adams Fire and Rescue treated both drivers at the scene for minor injuries….and no transport was required for further medical treatment. Both drivers were using seatbelts in the 5:45 p.m. collision.
