BEATRICE - The Beatrice Orangemen are headed back to Omaha.

Beatrice knocked off Platte Valley 2-0 on Friday in the B-5 District Finals to punch their ticket to the 2023 NSAA State Baseball Tournament. Beatrice got on the board in the top of the first via a sacrifice fly to right field by Noah Jobman scoring Jaxson Blackburn. The other Orangemen run came from a two-out blooper double to short right field off the bat of Tucker Timmerman. 

Tucker Timmerman pitched a complete game shutout striking out a career high 13. 

Beatrice begins state next weekend in Omaha.
