Man thanks LCSO deputy for saving his life
HICKMAN, Neb. -- A Lancaster County deputy was invited to a fire and rescue for a thank you.
The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office said that Deputy Joshua Kingswood was invited to Hickman Rural Fire and Rescue at the request of David Sanderson and his family.
LCSO said that Sanderson wanted to take time to meet and thank those who helped save his life.
On Apr. 16, LCSO said that just after 5 a.m., Sanderson had suffered a fall in his home and was found unresponsive.
Authorities said that CPR was started by a bystander and taken over by Kingswood when he arrived to respond to the call.
Hickman Rural Fire and Rescue arrived to the scene and started further life-saving measures.
LCSO said that Sanderson was eventually revived and taken to a local hospital for further treatment.
In a Facebook post, LCSO said, "We are so grateful how this story turned out."
