18-year-old found with two missing Colorado children, arrested near York

YORK, Neb. -- An 18-year-old from Colorado was arrested near York after two missing children were found with him.
The Nebraska State Patrol said a trooper did a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Colorado pickup at 12:45 a.m. on Wednesday. The pickup reportedly had a headlight out and was traveling east on Interstate 80.
Officials said the trooper found out that the license plates on the pickup actually belonged to a different vehicle. The pickup was also reportedly stolen from Colorado.
According to authorities, the driver was taken into custody and a 17-year-old boy and 12-year-old girl were found in the pickup. The two children had been reported missing from Colorado.
Troopers said the driver was an 18-year-old male and that he was violating a protection order that one of the children had against him.
NSP said the 18-year-old was lodged in the York County Jail for by unlawful taking $5,000+, kidnapping, violating a protection order, possession of an open alcohol container, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing a peace officer, and other charges.
