LINCOLN, Neb. -- A 19-year-old woman is in the hospital after being ejected from her vehicle during a car crash in Lincoln.

The Lincoln Police Department said they responded to a rollover car accident on SW 40th St. and W O St. around 2:50 p.m. Saturday.

Responding officers said they determined that the KIA Sportage was heading north of NW 40th St., and was trying to cross O St. when her vehicle was hit by a Ford F250 who was westbound on O St.

Authorities said that the KIA rolled and ejected the 19-year-old driver.

The woman was taken to a local hospital for serious injuries, which authorities said she is expected to recover from.

LPD said that alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the accident.
