One injured after vehicle collides with homes in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. -- A man was injured after he ran into two homes with his vehicle in Lincoln.
The Lincoln Police Department said officers were sent to the intersection of N 56th St. and Greenwood St. at 4:05 p.m. on Saturday for a rescue alarm.
Officers said they found a 2022 Chevy Colorado truck had gone off the road, hitting the side of one home in the 3100 block of N 56th St. and then into another home.
According to authorities, they talked to the 53-year-old driver and witnesses in the area. The driver reportedly seemed to have experienced a medical episode that led to the collision.
Officials said the driver was taken to a nearby hospital but he had no noticeable injuries. No alcohol or drugs were reportedly involved in the accident.
LPD said the truck was totaled and the estimated damage done to both of the homes is $10,000. No citations were reported.
