Clinton Frank Paul

Clinton Frank Paul, 77 years of age, of Fairbury passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at his home. He was born on November 22, 1945 in Auburn, Nebraska to Clinton and Esther (Shephard) Paul. Clinton was raised in Shubert, Nebraska where he attended Shubert High School. In November of 1965, he was drafted into the U.S Army and served his country during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge in August of 1967. Clinton was united in marriage to Jane Shockey on July 15, 1968, at the Christian Church in Beatrice. To this union three children, Tony, Kristin and Clinton were born. Clinton worked seventeen years for Surge and Mid America Dairymen and later at Sears in Beatrice. He retired from Black Hills Energy after twelve years of employment.
Clinton is survived by his wife Jane Paul of Fairbury, children: Tony Paul and wife Auticia of Olathe, KS; Kristin Johnson of Fairbury, Clinton Paul and wife Kelly of Lincoln, 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, sister: Dorothy (Alfred) Smith of Beatrice, brothers-in-law: Ralph and Robert Shockey both of Hastings, NE; Roger Rodaway of Weeping Water, NE; sister-in-law Eva (Marvin) Stover of Reserve, NM; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Ruth O’Donnell and granddaughter Angela Paul (Johnson).
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the First Christian Church, 2625 “H” street in Fairbury, Nebraska with Pastor Darlene Novotny officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by the Fairbury VFW and the Nebraska Army Funeral Honors Guard. Memorials contributions are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary.
