Man arrested for reportedly killing 18-year-old in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. -- A shooting that killed an 18-year-old led to the arrest of a Lincoln man.
The Lincoln Police Department said officers were dispatched to the area of 18th St. and Euclid Ave. around 10:20 a.m. on Saturday for a reported shooting during a neighborhood disturbance that had quickly escalated.
Officers said they found the 18-year-old victim with a a gunshot wound to his upper torso outside a residence. Lincoln Fire and Rescue reportedly began life saving measures on the victim and took him to a local hospital but he was later declared dead.
According to authorities, they arrested 29-year-old Armon Rejai, of Lincoln, for second-degree homicide. The victim's family has reportedly been notified but his name will not be released at this time so that the family may have privacy. LPD would like to extend their condolences to the family and friends if the victim.
