UPDATE: Name released in motor vehicle crash that killed one

LINCOLN, Neb. -- The name of an 80-year-old woman who died in a Lincoln accident has been released.
The Lincoln Police Department said the 80-year-old woman's name is Lyn Linder of Lincoln.
On Monday, Lincoln Police Officers said they were called to a scene with a report of an injury accident involving two vehicles.
According to officials, the initial investigation showed that around 4:30, a silver Toyota Prius was westbound on Nebraska Parkway when it attempted to turn south on S 33rd St.
LPD said as the Prius made the turn, it was struck on the passenger side by a white Chevy pickup that was eastbound on Nebraska Parkway.
Authorities said the driver of the Prius, Linder, was transported to the hospital by Lincoln Fire and Rescue in life-threatening condition. She ultimately was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
LPD said they extend their condolences to Lyn’s family and friends and ask members of the public to
respect their privacy as they grieve the loss of their loved one.
The investigation is in ongoing.
