BENNINGTON - Beatrice has ended their season with a record of 3-7. 

The Orangemen entered the playoffs as the bottom seed (#16) in Class B, taking on the defending state champs the top seed Bennington Bears. Bennington entered the contest with a record of 9-0 on the year and had won 22 straight games. 

Beatrice did what they could to stay in the game early, trailing just 7-0 at thee end of the first quarter, having given Bennington a short field after failing to convert on 4th and short. Isaac Conner caught one of three touchdowns on the night to give Bennington to the lead. 

Bennington's second first half TD came from Trey Bird to tight end Ben Jorgensen, to put the Badgers up 20-0 at half.

Bennington only punted once in the entire game and the only Orangemen touchdown was an 89-yard touchdown run by Crew Meints. 

Beatrice ends the year 3-7 with wins over Plattsmouth, Crete, and a forefit win over Lincoln Northwest.
