LINCOLN, Neb. -- Two apartments were damaged from reported gunshots on Tuesday night in Lincoln.

The Lincoln Police Department said officers were sent to the 1500 block of Knox St. around 10:30 p.m. after a report of gunshots.

Police said they found multiple 9mm casings in or near the intersection of Portia and Knox. They saw damage reportedly caused by the gunfire on two nearby apartments. The damage was reportedly on the front door and several windows of one apartment, and a front window of another.

According to authorities, the apartment that received the most damage was unoccupied while the second apartment had a sleeping resident inside.
