Vehicles collide at Gage-Lancaster line intersection

BEATRICE – A collision at an uncontrolled rural intersection along the Gage-Lancaster County line Friday night, sent a Wilber woman to the hospital.
Gage County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Nebraska State Patrol went to the scene of the collision, about three miles northwest of Clatonia, at around 8:20 p.m. Cortland and Hallam Fire and Rescue personnel were dispatched.
The intersection where the collision happened…Southwest 114th and West Gage Road…has no traffic control signs.
Sheriff’s officers say a 2013 Ford Explorer driven by 34-year-old Nicole Dewey of Hallam…with two young children as passengers…was eastbound on Gage Road. A southbound 1997 Honda Accord on Southwest 114th Road was driven by 62-year-old Lori Robison, of Wilber. The vehicles collided at the intersection.
Robison was taken by ambulance to Bryan West Health Center in Lincoln. Dewey and her children were checked over at the scene and released. Both drivers and passengers were using safety restraints.
Gage County law officers say Robison was ticketed for failure to yield.
