BEATRICE – A search warrant served Tuesday at a house in Blue Springs revealed a convicted sex offender living at the address for which he had not registered.  That’s according to the Gage County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrested Dusty Mayhew, who was found at the residence along West Broad Street…along with several of his personal items and a vehicle he had recently purchased.

Mayhew, law officers said, had been staying at the home off and on since June and had been at the residence regularly for the past week.  Mayhew was arrested for a felony violation of the state sex offender registry, because of previous violations of the sex offender registry act.

During the search, law officers also arrested 38-year-old Randall Cameron of Wymore, after he allegedly was found in possession of a methamphetamine pipe.

Sheriff’s officers also cited 57-year-old Ronald Mayhew for alleged possession of drug paraphernalia and less than an ounce of marijuana.

Dusty Mayhew and Cameron were taken to the Gage County Jail.  Mayhew is on a lifetime sex offender registration requirement because of an April 2008 Gage County conviction for attempted second-degree sexual assault.
