Doane University Assistant Wrestling Coach Zack Wilcox led the Team USA 20U Greco-Roman Wrestling team to the championship of the Pan-American Wrestling Championships in Oaxtepec, Mexico, on Friday as his wrestlers captured 10 medals.

Wilcox has been an assistant coach for the Tigers since the 2019-20 season. This past year, he helped the Tigers to a fifth place finish at the NAIA Men's Wrestling Championships with two All-Americans crowned in the weights he works more closely with, 197-pounds and heavyweight.

Team USA wrestlers went 26-5 on the first day of competition and captured six gold medals in the Greco-Roman discipline. The American team added two silver and two bronze medals on their way to the team title.

Wrestlers to go undefeated on the day were Haiden Drury (63 kg, 5-0), Richard Fedalen (72 kg, 4-0), Michael Altomer (82 kg, 2-0), Kodiak Stephens (87 kg, 3-0), Robert Plympton (97 kg, 2-0) and Aden Attao (130 kg, 2-0). Robert Perez (67 kg, 2-1) and Manuel Gaitan (77 kg, 3-1) finished with silver medals while  Jakason Burks (55 kg, 2-2), an Omaha Burke graduate, and Max Black (60 kg, 1-1) finished with bronze medals.
