BEATRICE – Activities ramp up today in the annual Homestead Days celebration, which will run in Beatrice through Sunday.

A presentation on Victory gardens will be held at the Beatrice Public Library, 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. The Main Street Beatrice Farmers Market is today….from 4 to 6:30 p.m., at the Centenary United Methodist Church parking lot.

The Black Crow Restaurant has their annual Ribfest from 5 to 9 p.m.

The Homestead Days kick-off event is today in downtown Beatrice along North 5th Street from Court to Ella.  That will include a 6 p.m. announcement of this year’s Homestead Days Parade Grand Marshal.  The parade is Saturday starting at 10 a.m.

Also in the downtown…..a kids tractor pull at 6:30 and the Homestead Days Color Run at 7 p.m., a two-mile course out and back on the city trail system.
