Missing Thayer County woman found safe, contacted by authorities

Authorities have confirmed a missing Thayer County woman is safe.

DESHLER - Authorities have confirmed a missing Thayer County woman is safe. 

On Wednesday, the Thayer County Sheriff stated they had made contact with 26-year-old Clarissa Martin and confirmed she was safe. In mid-May, she had left the area and authorities believed she had done so choosing not to return. Contact had been made between Martin and her friends, one conversation was even a Facetime call.   

Despite signs point to her safety, authorities chose to keep the case open until Martin was known to be 100 percent safe and contact had been made by law enforcement.
