Double-homicide investigation in Lincoln
LINCOLN, Neb. -- Police in Lincoln are investigating a shooting that killed two and injured another Sunday morning.
Lincoln Police said they are investigating the shooting death of two men and the injury of a third victim.
Police said that around 2:20 a.m. on May 22, officers responded to the area of 30th and P Streets after a man called 911 to report he had been shot.
Officials said that officers found two shooting victims inside of a residence.
Life-saving measures were attempted but both men, 42-years-old and 26-years-old, died from their injuries.
LPD said a third shooting victim, a 19-year-old man, arrived at a local hospital shortly after the original call. He is in serious but stable condition.
All three victims were a part of the shooting on 30th and P St.
No suspects are in custody at this time.
LPD said, "While this investigation is in the very early stages, we believe this to be an isolated incident. There is no further threat to the public related to this incident."
This is an ongoing investigation.
Authorities said that as the investigation continues more details will become available.
The LPD is asking that anyone with information about the incident come forward.
