BEATRICE – A Beatrice-Gage County economic development organization will be under new executive director, May 2nd.

The Board of Directors of Gage Area Growth Enterprise, known as NGage, is hiring Derek Dauel, who comes to the Beatrice area from York, where he was a Development Coordinator.

"Relationship-building is something I'm looking forward to in this community...learning more about Beatrice and Gage County and getting to know all of the different partners that exist in the community. I'm looking forward to getting here and learning more about the place, and hit the ground running from there."

Traci Froscheiser of the NGage Board of Directors introduced Dauel to the Mayor and City Council, Monday night.

Dauel takes over for Trevor Lee, who recently became the Executive Director for Buffalo County Economic Development, in Kearney. Lee will be assisting NGage on an as-needed basis, during the transition to the new director.
