One person arrested following two-vehicle accident
LINCOLN, Neb. -- Authorities responded to a two-vehicle accident Monday night in Lincoln.
The Lincoln Police Department said that on Monday around 11:44 p.m., officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash at 11-L Street.
Authorities said that the initial dispatch information indicated three occupants were trapped in one of the vehicles.
LPD officials said that officers arrived and discovered a transport van had been west on L Street and collided with a Honda Accord that was heading south on 11th Street.
Officials said that the three occupants in the van were extricated from the vehicle by LFR and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities said that the driver of the Honda, later identified as 33-year-old Robinson Juarez, had fled the scene on foot following the collision.
LPD said that about four hours later Juarez called the police to report that he had been in an accident, but he didn't remember it.
Officials said that Juarez was arrested for leave scene of injury accident, DUI, no insurance and violate automatic traffic signal.
