Fentanyl, $800K worth of meth discovered in Lancaster County traffic stop

LINCOLN, Neb. -- A Wednesday traffic stop resulted in two arrests and the discovery of over fentanyl and an estimated $800,000 worth of methamphetamine.
According to the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office, members of the Criminal Interdiction Task Force stopped a Toyota Camry for following too closely on Interstate 80 near Lincoln Wednesday afternoon.
Sheriff Terry Wagner says probable cause led to a search of the vehicle, uncovering 18.5 lbs. of suspected methampethamine, 40 grams of suspected fentanyl, used syringes and $2,620 in U.S. currency.
37-year-old Judith Ann Deandrade, of Nevada, and 35-year-old Arica Marie Downs, of Maine, were arrested and lodged in jail for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver (more than 140 grams), possession of money while violating NRS 28-416, and evading drug tax .
The street value of the methamphetamine was approximately $800,000, according to Wagner. The value of the fentanyl was unknown.
