WAVERLY, Neb. -- Two days after being eliminated from the Class B boys state basketball tournament, Waverly head coach Ryan Reeder announced that he would be stepping away from the Vikings' program.
Reeder served the past eight years at the helm in Waverly. He said he would be leaving the program to focus on Supreme Court Basketball, a club team that Reeder runs.
Waverly, which finished the 2021-22 season with a 16-10 record, saw its season come to a close on Monday with a 64-58 double-overtime loss to Omaha Roncalli.
