LINCOLN, Neb. -- One person was cited and two were arrested following a disturbance in Lincoln on Saturday.

Lincoln Police said that just after 1 a.m. on February 19, officers heard glass breaking and people shouting at The Fat Toad on O Street. Officers proceeded towards the bar to investigate.

LPD said that when officers arrived, they found 30-year-old Devion Mitchell had just been removed from the bar after being belligerent inside.

Officials said that Mitchell became angry at this and smashed a large glass window to the bar, causing him to bleed profusely from severe lacerations on his arms.

LPD officials said that officers started to perform life-saving measures, when they saw 21-year-old Sana Saad running towards Mitchell with her Fist raised to hit him.

Authorities said that officers had to restrain Sana as she wildly flailed in attempts to hit him.

Officials said that Sana's sister, 23-year-old Hawraa Saad, joined in the struggle by trying to push officers away from Sana.

LPD said that Sana was bleeding form a laceration on her nose that was caused by flying glass from the window Mitchell broke. Sana proceeded to spit blood and phlegm into the face of one officer, as she was being arrested.

Authorities said that Mitchell and Sana were transported to a local area hospital, where Mitchell was maintained for treatment and Sana was treated and released.

LPD officials said that the damage to the window is estimated at $200.

Mitchell was cited and released for assault and vandalism. Sana was arrested for assault on a police officer with bodily fluid, third-degree assault, obstructing a peace officer, and resisting arrest. Hawraa was arrested for obstructing a peace officer.
