BEATRICE – A 39-year-old Beatrice man has been sent to county jail, after having his post-release supervision revoked on a violation of the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry Act.

Jeremy Vater was sentenced in Gage County District Court Thursday, to 143 days in jail…..the balance of time left on his supervision.  Vater was given a three-year prison term that began in May of 2020, after having his probation revoked on a felony conviction.

Vater had his probation revoked after getting arrested in Iowa for absconding.  He had been living in Council Bluffs, without permission to leave the State of Nebraska.   He also failed to report to his probation officer on two occasions.

Vater was convicted in Jefferson County in 2005 of attempted first degree sexual assault.  He is on a 25-year sex offender reporting requirement.
