Gregory B. Trook

Gregory B. Trook, 65, of Lincoln, died Friday night, January 29, 2021 at a Lincoln hospital. He was born on February 7, 1955 at San Francisco, California. He graduated from Syracuse High School and Southeast Community College. On October 29, 1977 he married Debra Johns in Syracuse. He worked as an avionics technician for Duncan Aviation, the City of Lincoln radio shop, and was an engineer for Bosch Communications. He helped to build and service 911 centers. Greg was a member of an amateur radio club, certified weather spotter, FEMA team member going to various disasters, and helped with urban search and rescue. He also was an entrepreneur and inventor with a patent.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Trook of Lincoln; four children, Nick, Bryan, Shanda, and Jayson Trook; two grandchildren, Sam Trook and Jackson Johnson; sister, Veronica Smith. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Trook.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Inurnment of the cremains will be at the Sterling Cemetery of Sterling. Cremation has taken place.
