BEATRICE - Southeast Community College’s Beatrice Campus Agriculture programs are now housed in a newly renovated building.

Once known as the Beatrice Business Campus building, the 9,600 square-foot, $1.5 million makeover to Agriculture Hall provides office space for faculty, classrooms and a conference room.  SCC purchased the building in 2018.  It’s located along the south edge of the Beatrice Campus.

Campus Director Bob Morgan says, “You would not be able to tell that it’s not a completely new building. It’s exciting to see our Ag students in this nice facility.”

Agriculture instructor Amanda Fairley says it’s a much-needed improvement over the previous office space located in Ford Hall.  That metal building eventually will be torn down.  Fairley said, “Students really seem to enjoy the larger classrooms and what the building has provided for a common space to collaborate."

Hampton Construction was the general contractor for the renovated building, with the Leo A. Daly company doing the design work on the structure.
