Pandemic forces cancellation of December commencement
BEATRICE - Southeast Community College is canceling the school's December Commencement ceremony. The reason is the health and safety of students, their families and friends, and employees during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
SCC officials say diplomas will be mailed, and all December graduates will be invited to participate in the next ceremony held by the college.
College leaders are congratulating all graduates on their accomplishment of earning a credential at SCC...and hoping students will choose to participate in the next graduation ceremony to celebrate their achievement with their family and friends.
The pandemic also forced Southeast to call off last Spring's commencement ceremony...holding a virtual ceremony in its place.
