Vern Hubbard (84) of Rock River, Wyoming passed away on February 23, 2025. He was born on October 21, 1940 to the late Malvern "Hub" Hubbard and Mary Alta "Sandy" Hubbard.

Vern was raised and attended school in Beatrice, Nebraska, served in the US Air Force  and spent his adult life living in Wyoming. He loved the Wyoming mountains and spent time exploring mountain trails, hiking off trail into the back country or loading up his horse and camping in the back country.  For ten years, he competed in the professional rodeo circuit. His two rodeo events were riding brahman bulls and bareback broncos.  One time he was stomped so badly by a brahman bull that he was laid up for almost a year. Once he was healed, he was right back in the saddle again, Vern attended and was very active in the First Baptist Church in Rock River.

Vern is survived by his sister Gail Velez of Albuquerque, New Mexico; three brothers and their wives: Leland Hubbard of Fairfield, California, Leonard Hubbard of Casper, Wyoming and Ross Hubbard of  Fort Fairfield, Maine.

As Vern requested, there will be a private memorial for the immediate family.
