BEATRICE – There were no serious injuries from a two-vehicle crash in Beatrice Wednesday night.

The accident occurred just west of the intersection of 13th and Lincoln, about six blocks east of the Gage County Courthouse.

A Beatrice Police officer investigating says a vehicle struck the rear of another vehicle that was parked along Lincoln Street.   A Beatrice Fire and Rescue Ambulance was sent to the scene on a report of injury to one person.  But no transport to Beatrice Community Hospital was needed.

The accident happened near an intersection where city officials have been considering safety improvements.  There is a sharp jog in the alignment of Lincoln Street for west and eastbound traffic, in that area of 13th and Lincoln.

The collision happened just after seven p.m., and emergency units cleared the scene in less than a half-hour. The identities of those involved were not immediately known.
