BEATRICE – A single vehicle accident northwest of Beatrice resulted in minor injuries Thursday, to the driver.

Gage County authorities say the accident happened at West Highway Four and Juniper Road.

A westbound 2003 Toyota RAV-4 driven by 25-year-old Felix Garcia-Acuma, of DeWitt, went off the roadway when the driver apparently fell asleep.  The vehicle reentered the highway, skidded, then rolled over….landing on its wheels.

Beatrice Fire and Rescue and Beatrice Rural Fire responded to the scene.  Sheriff’s deputies say Garcia-Acuma was taken to Beatrice Community Hospital with minor injuries.  He was cited for having no operator’s license.
