Beverly A. Reedy
Beverly Ann Reedy, born August 11, 1939, in Beatrice, NE, made her peaceful journey to eternal rest in Lincoln on January 26, 2024. As a loving mother, Beverly’s life was rich with experience and love, and she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know her.
Beverly spent her working years in the service of others, dedicating her time to cleaning at the University of Nebraska among other places until her retirement. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as camping, reading, gardening, and visiting casinos, and she had a special fondness for collecting things. For many years, she was an active member of a bowling league, where she made many friends and cherished memories. Beverly lived in several places over her lifetime, including Washburn and Dysart in Iowa, Eagle, Wymore, and Beatrice, before moving to Lincoln, NE.
Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Reedy, whom she married on April 4, 1956. She was also preceded in death by her father, Paul Kollekowski, her mother, Mary (Johnson) Kollekowski, her son, Daniel Reedy. Beverly is survived by her loving children, Denise (Dusty) Shore of Abilene, KS, Polly (Robert) Schares of LaPorte City, Iowa, and Jeffrey Reedy of Beatrice, 12 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.
