LINCOLN, Neb. -- After at least two Omaha schools protested on behalf of transgender students last week, students at a school in Lincoln are now joining the fray.

On Monday morning, students at Lincoln Southeast High School conducted a walkout in protest of recent legislation proposed in the Nebraska statehouse.

The rally came just days after Omaha Westside and Omaha Central coordinated similar protests. It also comes three days after the 'Trans Day of Visibility' at the Nebraska State Capitol.

The protests occurred as multiple bills have been introduced in Nebraska this year that would affect largely LGBTQ youth, including LB 574LB 575 and LB 371.
