PLYMOUTH, NE — An annual tradition in southeast Nebraska wrapped up on Wednesday.

Fairbury radio station Ol' Red 99.5's Harvest Bonanza has made several stops over the past week.

The event hands out meals to farmers in several communities as they work through one of their busiest times of the year.

Local FFA chapters also pitch in.

Wednesday, the crew was in Plymouth. Tri County FFA member Sydney Brauer talks about what it's like to give back to those in the ag community.

"I mean they're going through freezing winters and hot summers and they're putting food on our plates," Brauer said. "Some of them are donating meals to our lunchroom and every thing so it's nothing for us to stand out here in gorgeous weather and hand someone food."

Ol' Red 99.5 held nine of the events over the past week in Nebraska and Kansas.

During the week, the station, its clients and FFA students handed out hundreds of meals.
