LPD: Three different construction site thefts are investigated

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Tools were allegedly taken from three separate construction sites last week in Lincoln.

The Lincoln Police Department said officers responded to three different thefts of tool from construction sites in the 10000 block of South 40th Street and the 7700 block of Isidore Drive on Aug. 15.

The report said the thefts all took place at different times between Aug. 10 and Aug. 15.

According to authorities, a total of $6,660 worth of tools were taken. For two of the incidents, tools were reportedly taken after a lock was cut on a storage trailer but in the other incident, the tools were reportedly left out at the jobsite.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding these thefts can contact the LPD at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
