Beatrice electric crews restore power lost in Tuesday night storms
BEATRICE – Some Beatrice electric customers lost power during the severe weather, Tuesday night….sending out crews to restore electricity.
City Electric Superintendent Pat Feist says 255 customers lost electricity starting between 10:10 and 10:30 p.m…those who are served by a distribution line from a city substation at Sertoma-Astro park.
Feist said that outage affected the east side of 19th Street from Jefferson Street north to Dorsey…and west to about 13th Street.
Feist says the outage was caused when a large tree branch fell on electric lines. He says customers were without power for about an hour and 45 minutes.
There were two other outages in the city……one of them at 1800 Scott Street that affected a dozen customers for about a half-hour….and another south of 13th and Oak Streets….that affected four customers for just over two hours.
