NPD: 21-year-old arrested after fight leads to broken nose, broken teeth

NORFOLK, Neb. -- A 21-year-old northeast Nebraska man is in custody after a fight that left another man with a broken nose and several broken teeth, Norfolk Police said.
NPD was called to the 300 block of N. 12th Street just after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday morning for reports of a physical altercation between two men.
When officers arrived, they found one man in the street, bleeding with facial injuries. NPD says the man had a broken nose and several broken teeth.
Norfolk Rescue was called to the scene, but the victim refused transport to the hospital, Norfolk Police Capt. Michael Bauer said.
The man was later transported to the emergency room by a friend.
The second person involved in the fight had left the area by the time officers arrived.
NPD spoke to witnesses at the scene, and they identified 21-year-old Terron M. Nelson as the second individual.
Officers located Nelson on S. 3rd Street and spoke to him about the incident. Nelson was placed under arrest for first-degree assault.
Nelson was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
