NGPC to release pheasant in seven southeast Nebraska WMA's, ahead of Thanksgiving
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is releasing adult rooster pheasants in eighteen Wildlife Management Areas across Nebraska, seven in the southeast region.

LINCOLN, Neb. - The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is releasing adult rooster pheasants in eighteen Wildlife Management Areas across Nebraska, seven in the southeast region.
Southeast Nebraska WMA's include Arrowhead (Gage County), Branched Oak (Lancaster County), Hickory Ridge (Johnson County), James N. Douglas (Johnson County), Kirkpatrick Basin North (York County), Peru Bottoms (Nemaha County), and Yankee Hill (Lancaster County).
Game and Parks says the pheasants are being released to increase hunting opportunities during the Thanksgiving holiday time.
Kirkpatrick Basin North in York County and Peru Bottoms in Nemaha County require non-toxic shot.
