Norvin D. Buhr, 77, of Adams, died Friday night, May 3, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born on March 11, 1947 in Beatrice to Henry and Minnie Buhr.  He was baptized on March 30, 1947 and confirmed on April 7, 1963 at the American Lutheran Church in Adams.  His memory verse was Luke 11:28, “Blessed are they that hear the word of God and keep it.” On July 5, 1970 he married Linda Davidson at the United Methodist Church in Adams.  Norvin was a member of the Adams United Methodist Church and enjoyed his farms and raising livestock.  He had a passion for going to sale barns.  Norvin loved his family unconditionally and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  

 Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Linda Buhr of Adams; daughter, Angie Sedlacek and special friend, Lenny Beu of Adams; son, Tim Buhr of Adams; four grandchildren, Brandon (Courtney) Sedlacek, Calan Sedlacek, Tori (Preston) Acton, and Hunter Buhr; two great-grandchildren, Creighton and Spencer; three grandchildren of the heart, Katlyn, Korey, and Kaylie Beu; five great-grands of the heart, Tinley, Tatum, Eliana, Elizabeth, and Edward Andreason; brothers, Darrell (Linda) Buhr and Delvin (Sheryl) Buhr; brother-in-law, Vern (Merlene) Davidson; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends, and furbuyers.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Minnie (Weber) Buhr; brother, Harlan Buhr; great-nephew, Braxton Buhr.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at the United Methodist Church of Adams with Pastor Sketer Makena Riungu officiating.  Burial will be at the Highland Cemetery of Adams.  A family prayer service will be held at 1:45 P.M. on Wednesday at the church.  The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home of Adams on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from noon until 8:00 P.M.   In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Adams United Methodist Church and Cottonwood Hospice  www.foxfuneralhome.net  Arrangements entrusted to Fox Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Adams.
