Eileen L. (Sellenrick) Bergmeier

Eileen L. (Sellenrick) Bergmeier, 94 years of age, of Plymouth passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at the Good Samaritan Society in Beatrice. She was born on March 2, 1930 in Beatrice to Otto and Julia (Christ) Sellenrick. Eileen graduated from Plymouth High School in 1948. She married Harold Bergmeier on October 10, 1966. Eileen and Harold farmed southwest of Plymouth until moving to town in 1980. She worked several jobs including at the Plymouth Steak House, Plymouth Country Store and in the cafeteria at Tri County Public Schools. Eileen was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Plymouth and the Plymouth American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed ladies card club, bowling, Plymouth softball, Husker football, bowl games, birds, flowers, cats and attending her grandchildren’s activities.
Eileen is survived by a son, Dean Milius and wife Deb of Plymouth; daughter, Jodi Hicks and husband David of DeWitt; son-in-law, Tad Matsamura of Minden, Nevada; grandchildren, Kelcie deKoning and husband Wade, Nicole Hueftle and husband Kevan, Kimberly Barnard and husband Josh, Andrea Milius, Justin Milius, Maci Poland and husband Michael, Carson Hicks and fiancée Julia Graff; and great grandchildren, MacKenna Bergmeier, Lynden and Whitt deKoning, Chesley and Hayes Hueftle, Kam Barnard and Myer Poland. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; daughter, Gerry Newhouse and husband Rich; step-daughter, Karen Milius-Matsamura; and brother, Ron Sellenrick and wife Wanda.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Plymouth with Pastor Justin Dauck officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery west of Plymouth. A family prayer service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday in the fellowship hall at the church. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Plymouth. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church with the church elders in charge.
