Donald William Dallmann entered into his eternal rest on January 14th, 2025.  Don was born October 27, 1932 at rural Upland, Nebraska.  He attended rural country schools and graduated from Franklin High School in 1950.  He was drafted into the Army during the Korean Conflict.  Upon returning from the service, Don devoted most of his life to managing dairy herds. 

He was united in marriage with Carol Ann Harroun on June 10, 1960.  The couple adopted two children, Duane and Patty Jo.  Carol Ann passed away on January 4th, 1977.  Don worked various jobs in Cozad and Lincoln. 

In 1980 Don met Phyllis Decker.  They were married January 24, 1981. Don and Phyllis spent their 44 years of marriage in Fairbury.  Don worked at a dairy and served as sextant for the Fairbury Cemetery for 10 years until his retirement.

Don is survived by his loving wife Phyllis of the home.  He was a great help to his three step-daughters Michelle (Jim) Ledden of Beatrice, Melissa (Craig) Mahloch of Fairbury and Deborah Klein of Nelson.  His son Duane resides in Lincoln.  He enjoyed his 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  He also had 2 sister-in-laws Doris and Jean Dallmann, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and one sister, and his daughter Patty Jo.

Funeral Services will be held on January 20, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Gerdes Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury.  Burial will take place at the Fairbury Cemetery with military honors.  A luncheon will be served at the Four Square Church in Fairbury.  Memorials will go to Samaritan's Purse.
