CRETE, NEB. - Merrick Johnson had himself a night to remember, including two overtime touchdowns and the game winner. 

Beatrice picks up their first win of the year, topping Crete 26-20 in 2OT

The Orangemen went down early, as Crete converted two long third down's, leading to an eventual Kenson Spence touchdown reception, but a missed PAT caused the game to reman 6-0. Beatrice would go up 14-6 in the third quarter thanks to scores from Beau Spilker, a 17-yard touchdown catch from Boston Crawford, and a 29-yard run from Connor Hayden. 

However, Crete would tie things up when QB Nick Wendt broke off a 70-yard touchdown run, before the Cardinals tacked on the game tying two-point conversion. 

In OT, Johnson scored both Beatrice touchdowns to secure the win. 

Beatrice improves to 1-1 on the season and heads to Platteview in week three.
