Angeline “Ann” E. Lenners, 86, of Beatrice passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Beatrice Health and Rehab. She was born September 20, 1937, in Beatrice to Henry H. and Lena V. (Schuster) Parde and was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, Pickrell. She grew up east of Pickrell and graduated from Filley High School in 1955. Ann married Henry Lenners on June 2, 1957, at Zion Lutheran Church, Pickrell. After getting married Henry and Ann moved to a farm east of Filley, living there for 45 years before moving to Beatrice in 2003. After graduating from Fairbury Junior College with a teaching certificate she taught school for a couple of years before going to work on the family’s dairy farm. She then went to work as a Med Aide at the Martin Luther Home, retiring after 23 years of service. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, American Lutheran Church, Filley where she taught Sunday School, helped with Junior Choir and was a member of the women’s circle. She enjoyed traveling with her card party group, going to Branson with the family at Thanksgiving, and watching the grandchildren’s sporting events.

Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Henry of Beatrice; daughter, Jeanette Vitosh of Beatrice; sons, Russell (Donna) Lenners of Jacksonville, AR, James (Kelly) Lenners of Adams; grandchildren, Brent (Tyler) Lenners, Kevin Lenners, Chandra Vitosh, Kalynn (Jeff) Fritzen, Abbie (Ryan) Lanke, Morgan (Adam) Frerichs, Emily Lenners and fiancé Brendan Lipovsky, and Garrett Lenners and fiancée Reagan Koza; step-grandson, Brian (Kim) Patton; great-grandchildren, Breeley, Blakely, and Briar Fritzen, Hayden, and Sadie Lanke, Avery, and Emma Frerichs; step great-granddaughters, Cassy, Lilly, and Miranda Patton; sister, Arlyss (Dennis) Corrigan; sisters-in-law, Velva Parde, Irene (Laverne) Fritzen; brothers-in-law, John Lenners, Don (Elnora) Lenners; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lena Parde, infant brother, sister, Karen (Orlalee) Zimmermann; brother, Harlan Parde; twin granddaughters, Lacey Ann and Kylie Lynn Lenners; son-in-law, Terry Vitosh; and step-granddaughter, Kathy Patton; sisters-in-law, Evalena Lenners, Marie (John) Hajek, and Elva (Ervin) Parde.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the American Lutheran Church of Filley with Pastor Jerry Gilbreath officiating. A family prayer service will be held at 1:45 P.M. on Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice. The body will lie in state on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. with the family greeting relatives and friends from 5:00 P.M. until 6:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
