On May 10, 2024, the world lost a beacon of joy and laughter. Jackquin "Jacki" Denner, born on August 4, 1951, in Girard, Kansas, was a woman of remarkable spirit whose infectious humor touched everyone she encountered. Jacki was a funny, compassionate, and loving soul who brought light and happiness wherever she went. Her supportive nature made her a pillar of strength for her family and friends.

Jacki attended school in Toronto, Kansas, and was a 1969 graduate of Eureka High School in Eureka, Kansas. She furthered her education at Flinthills Vocational Technical School and Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia, Kansas. Her dedication and hard work led her to a fulfilling career as a receptionist, where she served with commitment and pride in various institutions including Southern Public Schools, Wymore State Bank, and Gage County Medical, from where she retired after 25 years of commendable service. Beyond her professional achievements, Jacki found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid bowler, a passionate Relay-For-Life participant, a lover of card games and BINGO, and an enthusiastic visitor of casinos. Above all, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren, reveling in their laughter and achievements.

Jacki is survived by her sons, John Jr. and wife Cheryl of Diller and Chris Denner and wife Katie of Marysville, KS; grandchildren Hayley Denner (fiance, Brandon Koch), Mallory Denner (special friend Buchannan Tietjen), Peyton Denner, Alex (Justin) Dyke, and Dalton Denner; her brother, Rex (Marsha) McVey; several brothers and sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Denner, her parents, Merrill and Nola McVey, and her brother, Rick McVey.
