Auburn Punches Ticket to Sixth-Straight District Finals in BBB

AUBURN, NE - The Auburn Bulldogs kept their streak of District Finals appearances alive with a solid 58-29 win over Wilber-Clatonia in the Subdistrict C1-1 Championship Game on Thursday. The Bulldogs held a 19-12 lead after the first frame and built it to a 29-20 advantage at the break. Auburn put it to double-digits through three quarters at 38-24, and they didn't let up in a 20-5 fourth frame. The host team hit seven treys and went 7/9 at the free throw line. Maverick Binder finished with 15 points, while Nixon Ligouri added eleven - all in the first half. Wilber-Clatonia was led by the 17-point effort of Grant Kuhlmann, who was a perfect 5/5 at the charity stripe. Nobody else shot a free throw for the Wolverines, and only four players scored. WC ends the season at 13-13, while Auburn is now 25-0. The Bulldogs draw Battle Creek in the District C1-3 Final.
