Sharon Lea Adam passed away on September 7, 2022 at Good Samaritan Society in Beatrice, NE. She was born on September 26, 1946 at Randell Hospital in Marysville, KS, the daughter of Victor and Fern (Wohler) Stigge. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran Church near Barnes, KS on October 27, 1946 and April 10, 1960, respectively. Sharon grew up on her family’s farm south of Barnes. She attended elementary school near her home and went to Barnes Rural High School where she graduated in 1964. After graduation, Sharon moved to Beatrice, NE. In Beatrice, she worked at a car dealership and the courthouse. 

Sharon married Eldean Adam on September 6, 1970 at St. Peter Lutheran Church. After they were first married, Sharon and Eldean lived in Odell, NE.  They later lived outside of Beatrice and chose to settle in Harbine, NE in 1979. They had two children, Kristal and Tamera. Sharon’s top priorities were her faith and her family. She was involved at her church, in her community, and with her children's organizations when they were young. She did bookkeeping for her husband’s business and took care of the home for her family. When her children were both in school, she started working at the Jefferson County Treasurer’s office in Fairbury, NE where she worked for 25 years until her retirement in 2010. Sharon enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards and board games, and taking walks.

Survivors include her husband, Eldean of Harbine, NE; two daughters, Tamera Adam of Omaha, NE and Kristal Auty and husband John of Dallas, TX; granddaughter, Clara Auty of Dallas, TX; sister, Barbara Schauer and husband Arthur of Seward, NE; extended family; and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alvin and Viola Adam; brother-in-law, Melvin Adam; and sister-in-law Leotha Adam.

Funeral services will he held on Monday, September 12 at 10:30am at First Trinity Lutheran Church, Beatrice, NE. Burial will precede the service at 9:00am at the Odell Cemetery. Family will greet friends on Sunday, September 11 from 2:00 to 4:00pm at the Vance-Gerdes Funeral Home Odell, NE.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be given to First Trinity Lutheran Church, First Trinity Cemetery, or the Odell Cemetery.
