BEATRICE – The Beatrice Lady Orange Golf team has qualified for the class-B State Tournament.

The Lady Orange fired a team total score of 425, two shots behind District B-2 winner, Seward.   Beatrice finished 13 shots in front of third-place Waverly.

Seward, Beatrice and Waverly all advance to the Class-B Nebraska Girls Golf state tournament.

Sydney Southwick for the Lady Orange, won the district individual title, firing a 96.   That was six shots better than Natalie Anderson and Claire Novak of Seward and Emma Severson, of Norris.  

Seward’s Breanna Placke finished fifth, with a 105.  Beatrice golfer Abigail Jones finished sixth, with a 105 and Mackenzie Barnard shot a 107, to finish 7th.   The other top ten medalists were Waverly golfers, Claire Westerholt, Jaidyn Hall and Macy Persinger.  

For the Lady Orange, rounding out the scoring was Makenna Hutt with a 117 and Payton Neunaber, with a 122. 

In the team competition, finishing the scoring in the seven-team district competition were Norris, Schuyler, Crete and Columbus Lakeview.
